In Melbourne, I am spoiled with endless glute-free options! There has been such an incredible food revolution here over the past couple of years which means that most restaurants or cafés offer something on their menu that is gluten-free. This means, that to really stand out above the rest, the food at a café has to be incredible, and their staff has to show a clear understanding of the dreaded cross-contamination to make it on to my top five gluten-free cafés in Melbourne list. The following five places are not in any particular order, because honestly, it depends on the day, my cravings, and how recently I have been there.

We are so fortunate to have been able to interview Massimo (Max) Consolini, owner of Hotel Eden in Lake Garda, Italy. Complete with a private beach and historical olive groves, Hotel Eden boasts a gluten-free restaurant that was Certified by the A.I.C. (Italian Celiac Association) in 2014! "We are the only Hotel on the eastern side of Lake Garda that guarantees a 100% gluten-free menu. In fact, we are members of the A.I.C. (Italian Celiac Association) since 2014. Every dish or snack has his own 'senza-glutine' version, paying much attention to avoid any risk of cross-contamination. It doesn’t matter if for breakfast, for a slice of Margherita pizza for lunch, or spaghetti for dinner, we’ll always have the gluten-free solution for our guests."
