Creamy Avocado Coconut and Sunflower Seed Smoothie

Why is this Creamy Avocado, Coconut, and Sunflower Seed Smoothie one of the most nourishing and perfect smoothies to chug down every morning? Aside from being hydrating, the benefits to your body are positively stacked!

We realize it's not easy for everyone to acquire fresh young coconuts to whack open, but fresh coconut water is far more delicious than canned or bottled. I've even heard that once it's bottled it's nutritionally dead, so check out any Asian markets or international markets to find fresh cocos. 

Avocados are: low in sugar, full of good fats and fiber

Fresh Coconut Water is: low in sugar, full of electrolytes, and potassium

Sunflower Seeds are: anti-inflammatory, full of vitamin E, and rich in Magnesium

Makes 16 ounces

Ingredients

  • Water from one fresh coconut, 
  • 1/2 of a banana
  • 1/2 of an avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of raw unsalted sunflower seeds, soaked, rinsed and drained

How To

  1. Put ingredients into a high-speed blender. Pulse for 30 seconds or until creamy.
  2. Drink immediately.
